Contrast Security ADR empowers security teams to detect threats and stop attacks that target applications and APIs. Uniquely, ADR positions defenses inside the actual application, enabling security from within.

“There is an alarming gap in organizations' security programs when it comes to applications and APIs. I’m excited to lead Contrast Security Application Detection and Response to help solve that problem,” said Peng. “Cybersecurity is crucial to how we live our lives and I’m here to make sure more companies are protected by Contrast Security’s exceptional technology.”

Peng has a deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity needs. Previously at Splunk, Peng led major product launches and managed a data platform used by tens of thousands of companies to power and enable their security teams.

“I’ve seen firsthand that security teams are more effective when they have visibility and context across the stack. ADR brings that needed visibility to applications and APIs,” said Peng.

Prior to Splunk, Peng helped lead Cisco’s long-term strategy and M&A. Peng was integral in the evolution of Cisco's strategy in cybersecurity, which now accounts for more than half of the company’s revenue.

Peng now joins a growing team at Contrast Security focused on ADR.

“Since we launched ADR, we’ve seen excitement from the security community, from analysts and, most importantly, our customers,” said Rick Fitz, CEO of Contrast Security. “We are thrilled to have someone of Faya Peng’s caliber join Contrast Security to expand our ADR team and evolve the product.”
