Tango Networks today announces Tango Extend for Webex Calling, empowering Cisco Certified Mobile Calling Providers to offer a native mobile communication solution for Webex customers.
Tango Extend for Webex Calling enables Cisco partners who are part of the Cloud Connect for Webex Calling program to add Mobile Unified Communications to their customers, which drives efficiency, productivity, and collaboration in today's dynamic and increasingly mobile work environment. Cisco will include Webex Go entitlements with the Webex Calling Professional license. Cisco’s Certified Mobile Calling Providers will now be able to sell and provision Tango Extend mobile services and plans to over 16 million Webex Calling users.
"By partnering with Tango, Cisco is leveraging our Cloud Connect for Webex Calling partners and building a worldwide ecosystem of partners that offers both fixed-line and mobile plans with Webex Go,” said Amey Parandekar, Vice President, Product Management at Cisco. “The phone number management and eSIM provisioning is done in Webex Control Hub, empowering enterprises to serve a greater number of hybrid and frontline workers and meet the demand for mobile collaboration alongside our other collaboration products."
The first six Certified Mobile Calling Providers to bring the service to market are AudioCodes, CallTower, NTT, Nuwave, BCM One PureIP, and Tata Communications. Tango Extend for Webex Calling uses eSIM technology to embed a Webex business line into any smartphone, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) personal phones. Users can then use their phone’s native dialer to place calls and send texts using an existing or new Webex business number.
By adding an additional business eSIM to any device, Tango’s unique technology enables dual business and personal identities on the phone, ensuring personal communications remain completely separate and secure. This separation of identities allows users to carry just one device, which they can use for both personal and business communications.
This announcement also means that Cisco’s Partners can take advantage of the international reach of the Tango Extend mobile service and simplified international billing. Tango Extend allows mobile voice, text messaging and data permanently in 16 “Home” countries under one simple tariff plan called Global Pass. This plan includes in-bundle roaming in a further 23 “Home Away” countries. Now, for the first time, any enterprise with staff in international offices or who have employees who travel, can enjoy centralized single currency billing and inclusive roaming, helping to reduce roaming bill-shock.
“We are thrilled to unlock these important benefits for Cisco’s Certified Mobile Calling Providers,” said Lee Essex, SVP Sales & Marketing at Tango Networks. “This launch provides new routes to market for Webex Go and underscores our shared vision of enabling mobile solutions in the market. It also ensures seamless, secure, and high-quality communication experiences for enterprises of all sizes wherever they do business.”
Tango Extend for Webex Calling brings business calling features to the mobile phones of many more frontline, deskless, and hybrid workers - all without a separate App. Frontline workers, including delivery, retail, transportation, logistics, and in-home services, have often struggled to remain connected and engaged with their colleagues and customers – which directly affects the bottom line.
Incorporating groundbreaking fixed-mobile convergence technologies, Tango Extend has been awarded over 100 patents and has won more than 10 best new product and channel solution awards.
The views of our new Tango and Cisco Partners
“Remote work thrives on accessible mobile communication,” said Hugues Treguier, Vice President of Product Marketing and Go-to-Market of Managed Collaboration and Communications at NTT DATA. “With eSIM technology powered by Tango Networks, organizations can extend their Webex telephony solutions to include employees' mobile phones. This solution ensures secure and compliant business calls on personal devices.”
“Tango Extend for Webex Calling signifies a major leap forward in mobility,” stated William Rubio, Chief Revenue Officer at CallTower. “As a Cisco Certified Mobile Calling Partner, this groundbreaking solution empowers our partners to enhance mobile communication, boost productivity, and enable seamless collaboration in today's mobile-centric landscape globally. At CallTower, we remain dedicated to providing cutting-edge communication solutions that empower enterprises to excel and ensure effective anywhere communications.”
“Companies providing business mobile communications to the workforce on-the-go enjoy easier collaboration for boosted productivity,” said Lior Aldema, Chief Business Officer at AudioCodes. “AudioCodes’ partnership with Tango empowers partners and customers with a native mobile experience for Cisco Webex Calling as part of the holistic calling, contact center and conversational AI service portfolio delivered by our Live Platform SaaS solution.”
“Many companies must record and monitor business communications for financial services compliance and customer quality assurance,” said Diana Florea, Director of Product Management at BCM One. “Until now, that has been very hard to do on mobile phones, especially personal devices. Tango Extend embeds a Webex Calling line into a mobile phone, allowing a company to use its recording or compliance tools to monitor mobile communications, even on personal phones.”
“At NUWAVE, we're committed to enabling Multi-UC solutions for our global partner channel via our innovative iPILOT Platform,” said Mark Bunnell, COO of NUWAVE Communications. “As mobility becomes the next frontier for UC communications, Tango Extend empowers non-MNO partners and service providers to leverage eSIM technology for delivering Webex Go in their markets. Our priority is to ensure that our partner ecosystem has the tools and resources needed to capitalize on emerging technologies and drive growth.”
