This data shows how instrumental Hispanic voters' shift to the Republican Party was in deciding the 2024 Presidential Election, both nationally and in all seven Swing States. From the sunbelt of Arizona and Nevada, to Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, Hispanic voters, especially new voters made their voices heard in the 2024 election, swinging 16 points towards Republicans.
Analysis headlines:
- Hispanic voters swung by 16% points from Democrats to Republicans in 2024. Trump gained 1.8 million additional Latino votes since 2020. This swing was driven hugely by these new voters.
- The number of Latino voters increased by over a million 2020 vs 2024, a time when overall voter turnout decreased by 2 million.
- 96.7% of new voters in Swing States were Hispanic, and they voted 70/30 in favor of Trump.
- Trump needed 51 Electoral College votes from Swing States to win the election, and in all of them Hispanic Republican voters significantly impacted outcomes, directly giving him 59 Electoral College seats.
Swing States
- In Nevada Latinos made up 18% of voters. Their shift to Trump accounted for more than 100% of his winning margin, flipping all 6 of Nevada’s electoral votes. Without this swing, Nevada would have stayed blue
- 27% of voters in Arizona were Latino. Their 14-point swing to Trump helped him secure 10 of Arizona’s 11 electoral votes.
- Data shows new Latino Trump voters were solely responsible for his victory in Michigan, where Latino voters more than doubled their turnout (3% of the electorate in 2020 to 6% in 2024) and had a stunning 32-point swing toward Trump flipping all 15 of Michigan’s electoral votes, turning this blue state red.
- Latinos in Wisconsin made up just 6% of voters, but their shift to Trump was decisive with new Latino Trump voters matching Trump’s margin of victory, flipping all 10 of Wisconsin’s electoral votes.
- Although Trump won North Carolina in both 2020 and 2024, the new Hispanic Republican voters solidified his support in the state.
- Latinos made up 8% of voters in Georgia, but their decisive swing to Trump earned 6 of its 16 electoral votes.
- 2020: Biden won Pennsylvania by 80,000 votes. 2024: Latino voters swung 24 points and helped Trump flip the state, contributing 13 of Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes.

Orlando Salazar, CEO & Founder VOZ:
“Hispanics voted in historic numbers for the party they believe will best serve and protect their families, and provide for a more stable economic future. Our nation’s “sleeping giant” woke up and recognized that our country’s back was to the wall, and Hispanics voted to save the day.
Hispanics are the answer to our country’s future, not the problem. Our values, our growing economic power, and our love of country are creating a powerful force that from now on both political parties should be paying close attention to.
